I Run With Vampires

As you may or may not know, my friends and I are obsessed with the Twilight Saga...

So, we decided to go up to Vallecito Lake (last spring, I believe is when these were taken!) and try and take some Vampire inspired portraits!! So, just consider him, Wacey Cullen (in our own version of Forks!)

I was just getting used to my new camera, and shooting in manual, so I didn't get as many great photos as I wanted, but I think what I did manage to get was pretty awesome!

Urban Shoot with Sarah

This is just a fun shoot that I did with a friend of mine, Sarah.  I love dressing her up and telling her, "We're doing a themed shoot today!" and she is always down for whatever! I saw a picture of a girl once who was *blech!* smoking...it was a cool artsy type shot, and since I didn't know anyone who smokes, I figured I would never be able to do something similar (well, with an unlit cigarette, of course I could've, but I don't know if that's quite the same!) Then I met Sarah and to my dismay, she smokes...  But, of course, I cashed in on the situation and had her at least make that smoking a piece of art! She is such a natural, and these pictures are so absolutely fun!! We were shooting with a friend of ours, Wacey, who makes a cameo in some of the pics!  And remember, JUST SAY NO :D

Michelle -- and more to come!

This is just a sneak peek of what's to come from this amazing shoot I did with my good friend, Michelle.  She dressed up in old vintage 20's themed outfits, along with her handsome hubby, John who looked like he stepped right out of a time machine!  They looked so awesome together, I can't wait to get them all edited and put em all up here, asap!

Pauline

This is a shoot that my best friend, Pauline and I did together last fall.  It was cold, windy, and people were looking at us like we were crazy.  But that's probably because we looked crazy!!  It was supposed to be a dark kinda "gothic" type shoot, I guess you could say.  It actually got a lot creepier than this, but I didn't want to scare anyone away by posting em! It was tons of fun editing these, because how often do you get to edit something to make them look dark and ominous? Not often!

Ice Princess

I like to think I am pretty darn good at hair and makeup. So, my friend Wacey, who is also a photographer, sometimes asks me to do his models hair and makeup. So, when he asked me to do his friend Tayla's for an "Ice Princess" themed photo shoot, I of course jumped at the chance! It was really fun, she is such a sweetheart! After we were done with the makeup (I did a little bit on her hair too, she came with her hair crimped and I poofed it and worked my magic!), I asked her if I could take a few shots of her before they left. This was my favorite! :)

Old Hollywood Portraits

Miss Hailey -- This girl is sweet, funny, beautiful and smart. She made an amazing Marilyn Monroe... actually, I think she would give the real Marilyn a run for her money!

Natalie -- Even prettier than the real Audrey Hepburn! Even if she doesn't get to be America's Next Top Model, she is my top model!! She's always a blast to shoot with! And absolutely HILARIOUS! "I have some news...I saw...blood..." -- Natalie, after shaking a creepy mans hand! Don't worry, I gave her a wet wipe and we were on our way!
Adam -- the best James Dean since the original!! (Don't worry, the cigarette wasn't lit! Just say no, kids!) Totally a natural model, and makes me laugh soo hard sometimes I forget what I am doing. These kids are some of the sweetest people I've ever known! And they are all totally hilarious. (Hailey - "Adam, what do you usually wear underneath your button ups?" Adam - "Nothing..." Me - "Excellent...") Good times!
